The largest storm in recorded history struck the Philippines on Friday and is on course now for Southeast Asia. An estimated 10,000 people have already died. Officials estimate that 4 million are affected and 2.5 million are in immediate need of items like food, water, shelter, and everyday items like safe, sturdy shoes.
Actual damages are being assessed, but we know that homes have been leveled, communities devastated, and personal property like shoes and clothing have been swept away.
Soles4Souls has already committed at least 200,000 new pairs of shoes to the rescue, recovery, and rebuilding lives effort.
The focus right now is on rescue, but it will hopefully soon turn toward restoration and rebuilding.
The shoes will be donated to Soles4Souls, but we need your help to deliver them.
